Shyam Singha Roy is hitting all the right notes prior to its release on December 24, right from its extensive promotions to the responses for the music, teaser and character posters. The film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and features Nani, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles. Set in West Bengal of a different era, the title character is a social reformer, a journalist/writer standing up for women in the hour of turmoil. The film spans across multiple timelines and also has an exciting supporting cast including Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma, Abhinav Gomatam, Jisshu Sengupta.

The film's second single, Edo Edo, sung by Chaitra Ambadipudi, set to the lyrics of Krishna Kanth, was released today. The song revolves around two youngsters, Vasu and his romantic interest (played by Krithi Shetty), gradually falling for one another and are relishing that little tension, the rush of hormones before they reveal their feelings. The on-chemistry between Nani and Krithi Shetty is palpable and it's hard to take your eyes off them as the warm, soothing number plays along like a breeze in the lap of nature.

The song starts off with the lines, 'I’m So Into You..I’m So Into You.. Touch Me, Like You Do..Love Me Like You Want It' before the Telugu lyrics 'Kaipe Tera Thegina Padava, Aa Alajadula Godava' take over. Krishna Kanth, the lyricist, is such a sensitive writer and his part-intimate, part-tender outlook towards romance shines through his latest number. The situation too is beautifully conceived revolving around a much-in-love couple, where both the man and the woman are refusing to take the first step forward. Mickey J Meyer, the composer, is in top form.

The film's first song Rise of Shyam, sung by Anurag Kulkarni, opened to positive responses as well. The second single provides a renewed momentum to the anticipation surrounding the film. Venkat S Boyanapalli has produced Shyam Singha Roy under Niharika Entertainment. The story is written by Satyadev Janga. Cinematographer Sanu John Varghese, production designer Avinash Kolla and editor Navin Nool are among other technicians associated with the project. The film is releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on December 24.
