While the movie has made a pretty decent first week opening at the box office, it has received mixed to negative reviews following its release.
“Ek Villain Returns tries too hard to be daring and ends up taking absurdity to the next level. The plot becomes predictable after a point in time, and it becomes excruciating with the bizarre dialogues adding to it,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay.
Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, the sequel is now playing in theatres around the country.
