After the success of The Eken last Poila Boishakh, Eken Babu is coming back to the big screen with a new story and a new mystery. This time he is going to Rajasthan. The film is based on Sujan Dasgupta’s story and is named The Eken Ruddhaswash Rajasthan. Eken Babu is played by Anirban Chakrabarti. His two companions, Bapi and Pramatha, are played by Suhotra Mukhopadhyay and Somak Ghosh.

Anirban posted on his social media that the film is releasing this April. This is the time of the Bengali new year, which the Bengalis will spend with the film. Anirban posted a motion picture of Rudhwoswash Rajasthan on Facebook. He was seen in a green kurta in the poster, with his trademark smile. Somak and Suhotra accompany him, both wearing yellow clothes. One wears a yellow sweater and another a yellow jacket. The background of the poster shows Sonar Kella. The title track of the film is played along with the poster. Anirban wrote, “Again on the big screen, on Poila Boisakh.”

The film is directed by Joydeep Mukherjee and produced by Srikanta Mohta and Mahendra Soni.

Ekenbabu’s creator Sujan Dasgupta breathed his last a few days back. His body was found in his Kolkata flat on January 18. His new book will be published in the coming book fair.
