Ekka Dokka: Did Sonamoni Saha miss her mentor Leena Gangopadhyay's birthday bash?

Prime time television’s first lady Leena Gangopadhyay is known for her mega serials, joint families, multiple affairs by protagonists, and even multiple marriages. With a series of iconic serials of recent times, including Shreemoyee, Khorkuto, Mohor, and others, Leena enjoys a huge fan base and popularity. She is undoubtedly a doyen of the Bengali television industry. The writer, who is also the co-owner of Magic Moments Production House with Saibal Banerjee, recently celebrated her birthday with grandeur. 

Right now, serials like Dhulokona and Ekka Dokka, produced by Magic Moments, are on air and fighting for their places on the TRP charts. A number of stars were present at the birthday party. The Dhulokona family also came. Lalon, aka Indrasis Roy, Fuljhuri, Manali Manisha Dey, Chorui (Sweta Mishra), and others wished her good luck on the big day. The Khorkuto family, including Gungun (Trina Saha) and Chini (Misty Singh), was also present. 

But Sonamoni Saha – the woman behind the popularity of Mohor and the current leading lady Radhika of Ekka Dokka – was missing from the party pictures. A number of birthday photos were shared by Fuljhuri’s aunt Chandreyi, played by Anindita Roychoudhury. None of the pictures grabbed Sonamoni. Was she not invited, or could she not make time? Fans are pestering Anindita with this question. 'Where is Radhika?' 'Did Sonamoni not go?'--such comments filled up Anindita's wall. However, Sonamoni herself answered them. The actress of Mohor-fame commented on Anindita’s wall, “Please add my photo. This is the result of arriving last.” She actually was late in arriving, and hence did not get the time to be in the pictures. Anindita replied, “I missed you a lot.” The fans were relieved at this conversation. 

Sonamoni is all geared up to debut in the OTT space with her new web series The Bengal Scam. The actress is currently busy with promotions. Along with Sonamoni, the series will also feature Rajatava Dutta and Kinjal Nanda.
