How was Biana Momin cast as Mlaathi Chedathi?
The director of Eko asserted in a recent interview with OTTplay that Biana Momin, a native of Meghalaya, was initially suggested by Christo Tomy, the director of Ullozhukku. The director pointed out that, aside from Biana Momin, multiple others had been picked for this role, but they had trouble communicating as they couldn't speak Hindi or English well. We finally decided on her after a month of planning and an audition," he said.
The actress claimed that she was scared when she first found out she had been cast in Eko. "When I first arrived, I was worried about how I would interact or speak Malayalam on the set, but everyone was incredibly friendly. Biana said that lip syncing in Malayalam was the most difficult part because the director and crew demanded precision.
