Malayalam actor Sandeep Pradeep, who only has six films to his name, has already emerged to be a formidable talent with his performance in Eko, which is also the first film he leads. Even as laurels come the way of the young actor, reports suggest that Sandeep Pradeep is in talks for a big project which will be backed by Weekend Blockbusters, which has made several popular films, including Tovino Thomas-led Minnal Murali. Abhijith Joseph is said to be directing the upcoming film.
Sandeep Pradeep's next movie with Abhijith Joseph?
Sandeep Pradeep, who is winning much appreciation for his latest release Eko, could next join hands with director Abhijith Joseph, best known for the Jayasurya-starrer John Luther. Online trackers have said that the shoot is likely to start from mid-December 2025 with major shoot locations in Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram. There could be a brief schedule in Tamil Nadu as well, with a total of 72 days planned.
However, neither the Falimy actor nor the makers have confirmed the rumoured project. Other details such as genre or cast are also not known, but an announcement poster is expected to be out soon.
Sandeep Pradeep films
Sandeep had made his debut with the 2019 Mammootty film, Pathinettam Padi, and later featured in the 2022 film Antakshari. But it was the Basil Joseph-starrer Falimy that put the spotlight on Sandeep. Earlier this year, he was seen in Naslen’s Alappuzha Gymkhana and Padakkalam. All these films are available to stream on OTTplay Premium under various subscription plans.
His latest release Eko has been running successfully in cinemas. Eko is yet another mystery thriller by the makers of Kishkindha Kaandam - director Dinjith Ayyathan and writer-DOP Bahul Ramesh. Vineeth, Narain, Binu Pappu, Saurabh Sachdeva and Biana Momin form the rest of the cast.
Eko has already grossed over Rs 15 crore in less than a week, and is performing far better than the big release of Prithivraj Sukumaran’s Vilaayath Budha.
