Ekta Kapoor has been working closely in the world of Bollywood for the last 30 years. In 2023, she produced four movies U-Turn, Kathal, Dream Girl 2, and Thank You For Coming. Except for Dream Girl 2 – which minted over Rs 100 crores at the box office globally, all the other three films were not received well by the audiences. In view of this development, the 48-year-old film producer – who runs Balaji Telefilms, seems to be worried about the outcome of her upcoming backed film, Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2.

Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2 will hit the theatres on April 19.

Ekta Kapoor worries about LSD 2 outcome

Ahead of the Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2’s release, Ekta Kapoor expressed her worry about the film. Recalling the appalling performance of Thank You For Coming at the theatres last year, Ekta told Variety, “Thank You For Coming has left a very strange pain in my heart because of the way that film was and the kind of reception it got in India, vis-a-vis the reception it got overseas, I don’t know what happened.”

“And the hate spamming we went through – our walls used to be spammed every day with hatred, because we attempted to discover and make a movie on female sexuality. I can only imagine what’s going to happen when LSD 2 comes. I think I will have to hide again,” she said.

What is LSD 2 about?

The teaser for Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2 was released on April 1. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the sequel to the film is set to hit screens 14 years after the original Love, Sex Aur Dhokha was released in 2010. While the first film depicted love amidst the prevalence of hidden cameras, the sequel will explore love in the digital age of the internet.

Uorfi Javed, Sophie Choudry, Anu Malik and Mouni Roy are some of the Bollywood stars who would be seen in minor roles in the film.
