Elizabeth Mitchell gearing up to reprise Mrs Claus for Disney+ series The Santa Clause

The Santa Clause is all set to bring back Elizabeth Mitchell in her role as Mrs Claus or Carol alongside Tim Allen playing the legendary character Calvin. The Disney+ limited series is the latest instalment of The Santa Clause franchise.

Elizabeth appeared in the franchise in 2002. She also featured in the sequel The Santa Clause 2. The actress also took part in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. She is popular for her characters in ABC’s Lost and Once Upon a Time. Elizabeth is also known for NBC’s Revolution.

Besides the Santa franchise, she will also be seen in the upcoming vampire drama First Kill. The latter is produced by Emma Roberts and will have its premiere later this year. Elizabeth is also a part of Queen Bees along with Ellen Burstyn, James Caan and Ann Margret.

The upcoming instalment of The Santa Clause franchise will reportedly pick up the story from Scott Calvin’s 65th birthday, as he realises he can’t be the Santa forever. The storyline will progress as he searches for a replacement, alongside making his family ready for an adventure.

According to the official synopsis, Santa starts to lose a step as he now has a family, including two grown up kids, to take care of. He eventually feels that his family could benefit from a normal life and decides to find a replacement for his duty as Santa Clause. Many elves, children and other interesting characters also join him in the adventurous journey.

Meanwhile, the OTT platform had shared a picture of Tim Allen earlier this month and announced his comeback as Santa. They had also announced that the original limited series will soon be arriving on the platform.
