Elnaaz Norouzi became a household name with her role as Zoya Mirza in Sacred Games. Now, she has bagged an international project. The actor will next be seen in the second season of the Apple TV+ series Tehran. Interestingly, she will be seen alongside veteran Hollywood actor Glenn Close who is playing a pivotal role in the series. Elnaaz recently confirmed the report and shared her excitement about being a part of Tehran.

The actor told IANS, "It is a pinch-me moment for me. I am proud to be associated with an Apple TV+ and Emmy-nominated series. More than that, it is an honour to be part of a project with Glenn Close."

Elnaaz further said that when she saw the first season she told herself that she should have been part of this series. Talking about manifesting it, the actor added that she put it out there in the universe and finally bagged a role in the series.

Elnaaz further said, "I cannot reveal much about it, but I am sure the audience is going to love it as much as they did the first season."

The makers have described the premise of Tehran as "A Mossad agent embarks on her first mission as a computer hacker in her hometown of Tehran."

The series features Niv Sultan as Tamar Rabinyan, the leading role of a Mossad agent. She is joined by Homeland and Iron Man 2 actor Shaun Toub who plays Faraz Kamali. Tehran also stars Navid Negahban, Liraz Charhi and others in supporting roles.

Tehran created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn premiered on Apple TV+ in 2020. The first season consists of eight episodes and the series has bagged a nomination at the 49th International Emmy Awards in the Best Drama Series category.
