Elvish Yadav got some relief after being granted bail in the snake venom case but it did not last long. The YouTuber, who is also the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, will now be probed for money laundering, which is pertaining to the snake venom case. Elvish, whose real name is Siddharth Yadav, is among those who the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have summoned.

The case

ED has filed the case under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The case was filed after the Noida police filed a chargesheet against Elvish and others in the snake venom case. ED will probe the proceeds of money from the snake venom sale and if illicit funds were used for organizing rave parties.

Elvish one of those to be questioned in the case

PTI reports that Elvish will be among one of those who will be questioned in the money laundering case, which is linked to the snake venom case. ED will probe into where the money from the snake venom business was spent.

The snake venom case

Elvish Yadav was among one of those arrested in the snake venom case. His arrest took place on March 17 and in a few days, the YouTuber was released on bail. He has been accused of hosting parties where snake venom was being sold. Elvish was booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and spent his time in the judicial custody under the jurisdiction of the Noida police.

The snake venom case was filed in 2023 and five people were arrested for the same. Everybody who was arrested is now out on bail after paying Rs. 50,000 fine. Snake charmers were arrested from a banquet hall in Noida, where five cobras and four venomous snakes were found. Elvish was not present at the party, which he too confirmed in one of his previous vlogs.
