Empuraan FDFS timings locked: All decks cleared for Mohanlal-Prithviraj’s film with new distributor onboard

It has been quite a few days of confusion for the much-anticipated Malayalam film Empuraan which was caught in financial troubles. Now, with Lyca Productions' exit and the film getting new association with Gokulam Movies, which will be distributing Empuraan, the release gets on track. The FDFS timings for Empuraan has been locked, with only 11 days to go.

Empuraan FDFS timings locked and loaded; New distributors onboard

For the last few days, concern over Mohanlal-starrer Empuraan's release has been looming. With Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas as the co-producers, all did not go well, especially with the former's recent ventures turning out to be financial losses. After Lyca Productions exited the project, and was compensated by Aashirvad, the danger still lurked for Empuraan. However, after Gokulam Gopalan of Gokulam Movies stepped in as distributors, the makers were more than delighted to get associated with them and bring the film back on track for March 27 release.

Now, the latest update is that the FDFS timings of Empuraan has been locked. The first show will starts at 6 AM IST. "The first day, first show of #L2E #Empuraan will start at 6:00 AM IST on the 27th of March 2025. Shows across the world will start at the corresponding time in respective time zones," Prithviraj Sukumar tweeted. The film will release in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.

What to expect from Empuraan?

Empuraan, the sequel to the 2019 action thriller film Lucifer, features Mohanlal in the lead role. It is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and boasts a stellar cast, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Manju Warrier, among others.
