Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is little more than two weeks away from its theatrical release and the buzz online is getting bigger. The trailer of Empuraan, which comes six years after the 2019 Lucifer, is expected to be launched on March 17. But the latest buzz is that an exclusive content of Empruaan could be screened at Times Square, ahead of the trailer launch.
The makers of Empuraan are reportedly planning to showcase an exclusive content of the Mohanlal-starrer at the Times Square in New York. Giju John, who appears in a key role in Empuraan, has made the announcement on his Twitter handle Aashirvad Hollywood.
“An exclusive Empuraan content is going to be playing at the Times Square New York. Do not miss out,” says Giju, who plays the character of Sanjeev, the CEO of NPTV channel, in Lucifer franchise. He further said that a Lalettan fans meet-up is also planned in the US, the first of its kind.
Meanwhile, Empuraan, the second part in the Lucifer franchise, will make its grand release in theatres worldwide on March 27, 2025. The Malayalam thriller film will delve further into the dark world of Khureshi Ab'raam or Stephen Nedumpally, played by Mohanlal. Prithviraj Sukumaran also stars in the film, along with Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh and Saniya Iyappan.
When it released in 2019, Lucifer was a runaway hit and a worthy addition to the genre of Malayalam thriller films. Empuraan is expected to continue the winning streak of the Lucifer trilogy.
