Prithviraj Sukumaran has finally confirmed the release date and time of the trailer of Empuraan, starring Mohanlal. Putting an end to the fans’ wait, Prithviraj Sukumaran has confirmed on Instagram that the Empuraan trailer will be released online at 1:08 pm on March 20, 2025. He also shared a poster of lead star Mohanlal exiting a building which seems to be set on fire. Along with the online release, the Empuraan trailer will also be launched on the IMAX screen in Mumbai.

The official launch of the Empuraan trailer will also be held in Mumbai on March 20. Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrior, and Indrajith Sukumaran will also be a part of this grand event. Gokulam Gopalan and Anthony Perambavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas will also be in attendance. Earlier, the L2 Empuraan team had organised a star-studded affair that even saw Malayalam megastar Mammootty in attendance.

Within minutes of Prithviraj posting the update about the Empuraan trailer, fans flooded the comments section with fire emojis. Die-hard fans shared their excitement for finally getting to see the Empuraan trailer. Netizens said they are waiting for a banger of trailer to be released tomorrow with some commenting that social media will be on fire tomorrow.

Some hawk-eyed fans also noted that Khureshi Ab’raam replaced ‘L’ of the trailer in the poster. Notably, 'L' has been a significant part of all posters and glimpses of Empuraan released thus far. For the unversed, Empuraan is the second installment in the Lucifer franchise. The first part Lucifer released in 2019 and was an instant hit.
Certain netizens also speculated that the end credits of Lucifer, which is re-releasing in theatres on March 20, will also include the Empuraan trailer.
