Debutant director Adithyan Chandrashekar’s comedy entertainer Enkilum Chandrike, which hit theatres in February, is gearing up for its OTT release. The movie, which has Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tanvi Ram, Basil Joseph, Saiju Kurup, Abhiram Radhakrishnan and Niranjana Anoop as part of the cast, is produced by Friday Film House.

What is Enkilum Chandrike about?

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Adithyan, who had previously helmed web series such as Rock, Paper, Scissors and Average Ambili told us that Enkilum Chandrike is a feel-good comedy. “It’s a small film and we have focused on the humorous incidents that happen. The movie is based on what a group of people in a fictional village do, after they find out that Chandrika’s wedding is fixed,” he said.

The film revolves around a group of friends – Pavithran, Kiran, Abhi and Amal – who are members of the Sumalatha Club. After learning that their friend Bibeesh’s wedding has been fixed with Chandrika and them not being informed of this development, they decide to confront him. But leads to more surprises and the four finally decide to spoil Bibeesh’s perfect love story.

The movie, which hit theatres on February 17, only fared decently at the box office. However, what made it standout was its hilarious incidents. The combination of Suraj, Basil and Saiju was also fresh for the audience. In fact, Adithyan had earlier told us that this was also one of the key reasons the actors decided to come onboard the movie.
