The story of the series revolves around Becky Green (Erin Doherty), who has been watching Chloe Fairbourne (Poppy Gilbert) via her perfect social media images for some time. Chloe lives a charmed life with her adoring husband and circle of high-achieving friends, and Becky gets fascinated by her world that is strikingly different from hers. Becky lives in a small seaside flat on the outskirts of Bristol, England with her mother who has early-onset dementia. When Chloe suddenly dies, Becky assumes a new identity and gets close to her friends to find out what happened to her.

Prime Video and BBC One have released first-look images for the Mam Tor Productions, which promises an intense drama. The newly released episodic images show Becky and her alter ego, Sasha, as she manufactures situations to meet Livia (Pippa Bennett-Warner) and Chloe’s other friends, to get the truth out.
