The film is based on a true story. It revolves around a civil war in the late 1980s and early 1990s that tears down Mogadishu, leaving the rival North and South Korean diplomats trapped. As they receive no support from either government, the only they could probably survive is to unite and help each other escape. The drama depicts in detail, how the citizens and embassy officials were stranded during the war.
The film had its theatrical release in July, last year after several delays due to the surging cases of the COVID-19. The film opened to positive responses from both audiences and critics alike. It heaped praises especially for its action scenes, humorous plot, direction, and performances. The film was also selected as the South Korean entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards but it was not nominated by the Academy.
Now, catch a show on Amazon Prime Video.
