Escaype Live actor Kunal Thakkur says the show captures the ‘madness’ of social media well

Escaype Live, which is a sci-fi social thriller, is coming to Amazon Prime Video soon and fans are intrigued about its setting. Kunal Thakkur, who plays an important role in Escaype Live, has said that the show has captured the madness of social media well. 

"The extent to which people are going just to get followers on social media is scary. This show has very interestingly captured that madness. I think not just me, every person watching this show will relate to it," he told Times of India. 

He added that the show’s director has given it all in what will be an authentic concept and that people of all age groups will be able to resonate with the content, which will give an insight into the dark side of social media. 

He further added that working with Siddharth Kumar Tewary, who has done different things, was a dream come true.

Thakkur further spilled some information about the show including what his role will be. He revealed that Javed Jaffery, Waluscha D'Souza and he will play the people who will manage the app called Escaype Live and everything that goes around it. 

Apart from Thakkur, the cast of the upcoming series includes Waluscha De Sousa, Siddharth, Shweta Tripathi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Swastika Mukherjee, Plabita Borthakur and Sumedh Mudgalkar among others.

Created by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, the show will revolve around the app called Escaype Live and the idea of the human tendency to always be on top as well as competitive spirit. 

The show, which will consist of eight episodes, is set to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from May 20.
