Actor Sumedh Mudgalkar who has been winning hearts of the millions with his dancing skills and his role as Krishna in the TV series RadhaKrishn is now going to be a part of a web show, Escaype Live. The Disney+ Hotstar series is a thriller where the actor will be essaying the role of Darkie.

In a recent conversation with IANS, the actor recalled a funny instance. He mentioned about filming a particular scene for the series with his colleague Akanksha Singh. He said he was slapped by Singh 25 to 27 times for the perfect take.

The scene was being shot in Delhi and it required Singh to slap him. "I had told her before the scene that will you slap me for real, and she was like - Are you sure? I was like, yes," he said adding that he believed it would help him even more to get into the skin of his character, who is loud and ambitious. He asked her to slap him 5 to 7 times but when they later checked the shot on the monitor, the DOP Shyam Kaushal said it wasn't perfect and so, she slapped him more number of times to keep it real. "Shyam Ji who is very senior, intelligent and humble, one who always maintains a positive atmosphere on sets told Akanksha that I complained about her not slapping me properly, so for the next shot, she said she'll do it properly. I saw everything and understood it's a joke, however Akanksha didn't realise it's a joke and the next shot she slapped me like crazy!," he added. Later, Singh realised that she had indeed slapped him too hard and apologised to him. He said she hugged him after the shot and apologised realising that his cheek was still hot with all the slapping.

Sumedh summarised the 'hilarious' incident saying, "I got slapped 25-27 times for this sequence. Crazy, but fun."

The RadheKrishn actor had earlier talked about his character and how he got into the skin of the character. He had said he had to unlearn a lot after playing Krishna in the TV series for so long. It took him a day to completely learn about his new character and get into his shoes. He plays Darkie in the web series, who would go to any length to become a superstar. "He doesn't have a filter of what's good or wrong, he just knows what he wants and he gets it,” he had said in his statement.
