Eternals actor Kit Harington says his character’s future in MCU is uncertain

The latest movie from Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the star studded Eternals. A highly awaited movie, Eternals is all set to release in theatres across the world. 

Kit Harington, who plays an important role in the movie has talked about his character in the movie and about the future of his character in the MCU.

Speaking in an interview with Variety, the Game of Thrones star said, “God knows where it's gonna go. So I don't know, I can't predict whether, where, if anywhere, they'll take the character,” 

The actor also says while the future of his MCU character is uncertain, he says that this is something that is the same with the industry. He says to have any certainty about what you are doing is setting yourself up for failure.

Harington also revealed that he did not know much about his character when he was told about it and had to read up about him from the internet. 

Harington plays Dane Whitman, a simple human who is the romantic partner of Sersi, played by Gemma Chan, a superpowered immortal. 

While in the comics, Dane Whitman is the wielder of the Ebony Blade of medieval legend to become the Black Knight, his movie counterpart does not wield the cursed blade nor is in possession of it.

Eternals also star Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan and Angelina Jolie.

The movie, which is a part of MCU’s phase four, is set to release in theatres on November 5.
