On Monday, Marvel Studios dropped a huge video that still has fans buzzing. The featurette, which began with some of the epic moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also showcased the first glimpses from its upcoming films and the release dates.

While half the video pays tribute to films from Phase 3 of MCU including live audience reaction to the iconic assembly of superheroes in Avengers: Endgame, the latter half is what has got every superhero fan on social media excited.

Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johanson) solo story traces her past, from her childhood and her training to become the most skilled KGB operative to how she got into the saving-the-world business. Black Widow also stars David Harbour (Stranger Things), Rachel Weisz and Florence Pugh.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

An expert in weapon-based martial arts, Shang-Chi is forced to confront his past. The film is based on the Master of Kung Fu series and is heavily inspired by Bruce Lee. It has Simu Liu as the protagonist and Awkwafina.

This action-adventure features a huge star cast including Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Don Lee, Kit Harington and Gemma Chan playing immortal beings. The story follows the events after Avengers: Endgame, when a group of aliens who have been secretly living on Earth for over 7,000 years, fights to protect humanity.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

The film, which is the continuation of the Spider-Man films starting with Tom Holland, packs a lot of surprises and also brings together several characters from previous Spider-Man franchises including those helmed by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

The movie will have Alfred Molina’s Dr Octopus and Jamie Foxx’s Electro returning, apart from Michael Keaton’s Vulture. It reportedly has Peter Parker taking on the Sinister Six from the comics.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange is seemingly obsessed in his research of the time stone and will tackle a new enemy, a friend in the past. The film will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Hiddleston, Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Thor: Love and Thunder

The Taiki Waititi directorial follows Thor’s story from Avengers: Endgame when he left Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The film, which was being shot in Australia during the pandemic, has a star-studded cast with Natalie Portman returning as Jane Foster, Russel Crowe as Zeus and Christian Bale as Gorr the Butcher. The Guardians of the Galaxy members will also be part of the film, which will have Jane Foster becoming the Almighty Thor.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

While Marvel Studios said they will not recast Chadwick Boseman’s role of T’Challa, the movie will explore the world of Wakanda and its people and could have T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) taking up the mantle. Danai Gurira will also star in the film.

The Marvels

The sequel to Captain Marvel will have Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) teaming up with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) who appeared in WandaVision and Ms Marvel (Iman Vellani) to take on the antagonist played by Zawe Ashton.

The movie will revolve around the adventures of Ant-Man and the Wasp in the quantum realm. Apart from Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer are also expected to reprise their roles.

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3

The film will continue the story of the main characters of Guardians Of The Galaxy films including Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Nebula (Karen Gillan).
