Euphoria season 2 teaser: Zendaya’s Rue Benett is being ‘irresponsible’ in the teen drama series

HBO’s hit show Euphoria is back with the second instalment and it’s even more intense. Makers have released the teaser of the teen drama series that stars Zendaya in the lead role alongside Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira among other important characters. 

The latest teaser begins with Zendaya’s Rue Benett, who can be seen dancing with a pillow on a Jazz song titled Call Me Irresponsible by Frank Sinatra while the actress’ name flashes on the screen that says, “Emmy Award Winner Zendaya.” The latest clip then starts introducing all the cast members from the first season. Zendaya’s background voice says, “When you’re younger everything feels so permanent. But as you get older you begin to realize nothing is. And everyone you love can drift away.” In the end, the actress can be seen being high and chugging on a beverage.

The Sam Levinson helmed series is based on an Israeli miniseries by the name Euphoria, which was created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin. The teen drama series follows the life of a group of teenagers from high school, who are highly influenced by drugs and similar cultures. 

Euphoria, which also features Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, and Colman Domingo in pivotal roles, will be available to stream online on January 9 on HBO Max.
