Exclusive: Actor Balraj Syal fractures his right shoulder at the CCL match

Actor Balraj Syal who is best known for his spendind performances in shows like ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, ‘Entertainment Ki Raat’, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, ‘Smart Jodi’ and others, recently, met with an accident during a match between ‘Punjab De Sher’ and ‘Telugu Warriors’ in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). He had got hurt when he was fielding for the Punjab team and was trying to stop the ball from touching the boundary line.

Speaking about the incident, Balraj said, “I got my shoulder fractured during a match in Bangalore against the Telugu Warriors on March 4th. We won the match in the end! As we know - there’s no gain without pain. I will be inactive for four weeks or so depending on my healing process. I have an ad shoot on March 9, which I can’t do for obvious reasons. But I love cricket and it’s my passion to play in the ground. I have the sportsmanship spirit in abundance in me. There are certain things which are beyond human control, and this incident was just one of that.”

Balraj Syal is one of the top rung actors who have excelled in the genre of comedy with one liners and punches. After becoming extremely popular with the show ‘Entertainment Ki Raat’, there was no looking back for Syal. The next big thing that happened in his life and career was his participation in the much-talked about controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. Balraj had been one of the participants of ‘Bigg Boss’ show in its eleventh season, which was aired in the year 2018. As the saying goes, ‘one good thing lead to the other’, Balraj’s participation in ‘Bigg Boss’ also opened his avenue of participating in the Rohit Shetty hosted ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’. He had participated in the tenth season of the reality show.

Besides all of these, Balraj also happens to be a gifted scriptwriter, TV show host and an anchor who has produced two music videos back to back titled ‘Kamaal Ho’ and ‘Yakeen’ along with her singer wife Deepti Tuli.
