Solanki Roy’s onscreen partnership with Vikram Chatterjee as Meghla and Anurag in Star Jalsha’s Ichche Nodee has been appreciated by the audience for years. Even today, director Aritra Sen is floored with their chemistry. The duo has been shooting Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine with the director, who has already defined their chemistry as a hit. Meanwhile, Aritra Sen's Ghare Pherar Gaan, which features Parambrata Chatterjee and Ishaa Saha in lead, will be released in autumn after its premiere in the London Indian Film Festival.
“Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine is a romantic story. Hence, it was imminent for the actors to exude romance. Solanki and Vikram have worked before and they have a sizzling chemistry between them. That is working in our favour. We had fun shooting across Kolkata. Just two more days of shooting are left and I am sure that will go well,” Aritra told OTTplay exclusively.
Earlier, Solanki has also told us about her comfort level of working with Vikram. “We have worked together and we share a nice bond. I knew our camaraderie would get reflected on screen. It is a known comfort zone for me,” the actress told us. Meanwhile, Vikram is also busy with the release of his next, Kuler Achaar, with Madhumita Sarcar. The family drama that delves into the conflict between modernity and social convention will release soon.
Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine also features Debopriyo Mukherjee, Anamika Chakraborty, Siddhartha Chatterjee, Debesh Roy Chowdhury, Sudipa Basu and Rahul Dev Bose, whose Aay Khuku Aay with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Ditipriya Roy is running in theatre. Basudev Chakraborty is the director of photography of the film. The story delves into the life of a PhD student Ritoban (Vikram), who has returned from abroad. He meets his college sweetheart Anindita (Solanki). The two ex-lovers embark on a journey of reminiscence. Anamika remembers her dream of studying abroad and how that took a backseat. The story also explores the undying spirit of the City of Joy as the duo comes close once again. Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee has worked ar the stylist of the film.
