Exclusive! Aritra Sen wraps the London-leg shooting of Prantik that features Arjun Chakrabarty, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Ushasi Ray

Aritra Sen is the busiest newcomer director on the block. Soon after the announcement of his film Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine to be screened at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival, he got busy with his next film, Prantik. As per industry sources, the film has Parambrata Chatterjee, Ushasi Ray, and Arjun Chakraborty as the lead characters. Kaushik Sen and Bidipta Chakraborty will be seen in important roles. A portion of the film was shot in London and the Kolkata leg of shooting has started and will go on till the end of December. Meanwhile, his film Ghore Pherar Gaan will be released soon. 

The film’s Kolkata leg shooting started on Monday under strict secrecy. There is no scope for any information to be divulged. The director established a storyline based on football gambling. However, neither the production house nor anyone from the cast comments anything. It is said to be the journey of the character, Arjun, who will be seen as Ushasi’s brother. Earlier, the duo worked together in Hoichoi’s Byomkesh. 

Aritra has previously worked with Parambrata. However, this is his first venture with Ushasi. A few days back it was announced that Ushasi will be seen opposite Ritwick Chakraborty. Now, only time will tell how the three actors blend into their characters in the upcoming movie. 

Meanwhile, Aritra will be directing a new web series, Matsanyay, for Zee5. In a recent event in Kolkata, Zee5 announced its upcoming slate. Matsanyay will feature Ishaa Saha, Arjun and others.
