Exclusive! Azmeri Haque Badhon on meeting Tilda Swinton: I find her to be a feisty woman

Bangladeshi actress Azmeri Haque Badhon watched Tilda Swinton’s 2021 drama, Memoria, with the Hollywood actress during her visit to the 74th Cannes Film Festival. However, she missed the opportunity to talk to Tilda after the screening. This time, when Tilda came to Bangladesh for a literature festival in Dhaka, Badhon did not miss the chance to click a photograph. 

“I really wanted to say hello to her so I practically ran. When I was right in front of her, I was out of breath. The kind woman that Tilda is, she asked if I was ok. She happily clicked photos,” Badon said, adding, “I see Tilda as a powerful woman. And I love powerful feisty women.” She poster their photos on her social media and wrote, "She is love."

Tilda attended the lit fest as a speaker. The 10th edition of Dhaka Lit Fest was a four-day-long event that featured literary and cultural personalities from across the world. Tilda attended the event as a speaker at the talks. 

Badhon will soon be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj Khufiya on Netflix. She was seen along with Tabu, Ali Fazal, Grahan-fame Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ashish Vidyarthi in a recent teaser of the show. In a chat with us, Badhon said that working with Vishal and Tabu was a ‘big deal’ in her career. Khufiya is expected to release in April.
