Exclusive! Barkha Singh: At times it is good to be free from work

Actress and social media influencer Barkha Singh, who is playing the female protagonist Sanya in the web series Please Find Attached Season 3, shares how her co-star and friend Ayush Mehra gave moral support during the rough phase of her career.

While the main story of the show PFA centred around Shaurya and Sanya, played by Ayush and Barkha; the new season shows how Sanya decided to take up freelancing work leaving the full-time corporate job.

Being an actor who is always a freelancer, Barkha, in conversation with OTTplay said that the nature of a freelance job always keeps one on the toe and at times vulnerable.

Barkha told OTTplay, "An actor is always a freelancer and surely it gives us the freedom to choose a project that speaks to us, a script that we feel connected to. But there comes a time when we feel vulnerable when we do not know when will the next project come?"

Citing an example of her own life, the actress said, " I remember after I finished shooting the second season of PFA, I did not have any work. Neither did I sign any project nor an audition call. The pandemic was still on, and even though things opened up and all my other friends were working, I was sitting idle. Ayush started shooting for his next show Call My Agent, and I was just doing nothing!! I was anxious."

Then the actress revealed how Ayush lend support to her. Barkha said, " I called Ayush and sharing my anxiety and he told me, 'Barkha, tu agar free nehi rahegi to naya kaam kaise ayega? You have to be free and create space for new opportunities. Tu tension maat le.' That conversation changed everything. He was so right! I think at times it is good to be free from work."

Since then the actress appeared in multiple projects. She played a pivotal role in Subhash Ghai's film 36 Farmhouse, Netflix series like Masaba Masaba: Season 2 and Voot series The Great Weddings of Munnes apart from the third season of PFA.
