EXCLUSIVE: Bhagyashree’s daughter Avantika Dasani all set for her Bollywood debut

Many years ago (29 December 1989, to be precise), Bollywood saw the debut of an extremely simple but stunning beauty named Bhagyashree, who made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, in which she was paired opposite the national heartthrob Salman Khan! All thanks to the superlative performance of the film’s stars, the film’s music and heavy word of mouth publicity, the film went onto not just set records, but also broke many records at the box-office.

Enter 2023: Bollywood is now readying to witness yet another dream debut of none other than Bhagyashree’s daughter Avantika Dasani. The film’s name is ‘'U Shape Ki Gully'. The shooting of this film will begin from the first week of the month of May this year and has been scheduled to be taking place in Lucknow for a month. Even though she is the daughter of ‘THE’ superstar Bhagyashree, Avantika chose to enter Bollywood as any other newcomer would.

After a series of many auditions for the character Shabnam, when the director and producer of the film saw Avantika Dasani, they immediately witnessed the spark in her eyes while she was listening to the story of the movie. Besides listening to the script, Avantika also started asking questions regarding her character in the film. This convinced the film’s makers that she is the leading lady whom they were searching for.

The film is being directed by the critically acclaimed director Avinash Das, who had earlier directed the webseries 'She' and also 'Anarkali of Arah'. The film is being produced by Yadhunath films Private Limited and co-produced by Alcor Productions Private Limited.
