Jennifer Winget is one of the most talented and gorgeous faces on television. From Kasautii Zindagi Kay's Sneha Bajaj to Beyhadh's Maya Mehrotra, the actress has come a long way and has been loved by each of the characters by the audience.

In 2020, she forayed into OTT space with the action-thriller series Code M and mesmerized her fans, while now she is back with another season of Code M and has been garnering praise for her stint in the latest instalment. In a candid chat with OTTplay, the actress talked about multiple things including her latest show, her journey in acting till now and more. Excerpts:

Talking about what new the audience can expect from season 2, Jennifer mentioned that 'while making the second instalment it was in all our minds that it has to be bigger and better.' "This season is a lot more intense and a lot more action-packed. It also delves into Monica's childhood and certain trauma that she was going through. So, this season has a lot more story and a lot more personal relationship," she added.

Talking about the prep for her character and the rigorous training she took for it, the actress said, "When you play a person in the uniform, there is a certain way that you conduct yourself. From the way, you stand to everything. So, during season 1, we went through a lot of training for that and thus we have an idea of what to expect and what it's going to be like, it was smoother to train for season 2."

The first season of Code M was loosely inspired by real-life events when asked if her character is also inspired by a specific person, Jennifer clarified that her role was not based on any person, however, she met real-life women officers who are really inspiring to her. She further added, "Because they are not just officers. They are also somebodies mother, wife, and daughters. And especially for women to take on all responsibilities along with being an officer and their take on the life is inspiring. It was also very inspiring when they came up to me and say that they like that someone is representing them the way they are in Code M. That gives me more encouragement than I need."

Furthermore, the diva unveiled that taking up an action-packed show like Code M and playing a badass character like Monica has been her conscious decision. "And that's what I look for in every character that I get to learn something new."

When asked how the audiences would have responded to the Code M if it was a TV series and not an OTT show, Jennifer replied that it does not matter in the case of Code M. "If you have a good concept and a good team to work with, it will work no matter television or OTT. You just need your heart and soul in your project."

Jennifer began her first acting gig as a child artist in 1995 in Akele Hum Akele Tum. Since then she appeared in a few more daily sops in minor characters, while she forayed into major roles with her character Sneha Bajaj Kasautii Zindagi Kay. After that, she garnered immense praise for her extraordinary roles in shows like Beyhadh, Saraswatichandra and more.

Recalling her journey, the actress mentioned, "Honestly, It's just a beginning and I haven't done it all. I will never want to say that I have done it all because that's my quest in life. I want to learn to do things that I don't know how to do and as an actor playing different characters gives me that opportunity. So, I am still looking for that one big break."

When asked which of the character she has played till now is her favourite, Jennifer replied, "Maya (from Beyhadh) will always be very very close to my heart because that was my transitioning phase in real life also. A character that is as dark as her and receiving such great love and response make Maya the most special."
