Exclusive! Ditipriya Roy, Susmita Chatterjee, Anusha Viswanathan, Arna Mukhopadhyay, and others in Anshuman Pratyush’s family drama

Anshuman Pratyush has no time to rest. His upcoming film Ogo Bideshini, which features Ankush and Rajnandini Paul, will be released soon. Meanwhile, he is gearing up with another family drama, Annapurna, which will be shot in London and Kolkata. Produced by Eskay Movies, the Muharat will take place in Kolkata soon. The film has an elaborate ensemble cast, including Ditipriya Roy, Susmita Chatterjee, Anusha Viswanathan, Arna Mukhopadhyay, Ananya Chatterjee, Shantilal Mukherjee, and others. 

The film is scheduled to start in late December-early January. Billed as a family drama, the film will delve into the fragmented family members scattered globally. According to sources, the film will deal with the lives of the Non-Resident Indian community. 

Eskay Movies has a number of films lined up to be shot in London and Scotland. Sayantan Ghosal will be directing two films – one with Yash and Nusrat Jahan, and the other one is based on Sherlock Holmes’ The Hound of the Baskervilles with Rajnandini, Arna, and Rishav Basu. Yash is going to team up with Ditipriya in another film that is directed by Robin Nambiar. Raja Chanda may also direct another film with Eskay.  

Sayantan’s take on Sherlock will delve into a character, Saralaksha Holmes, who was brought up in Kolkata but now settles in London. The story has been adapted by Sanjib Bandyopadhyay. Padmanabha Dasgupta has penned the script and dialogue. The film delves into an affluent family. The heirs of the family are attacked by a ferocious dog. Saralaksha’s friend Arya Sen comes to investigate. While Rishav will play Saralaksha and Arna, Arya Sen. The film will also feature Shaheb Chatterjee, Shataf Figar, Sourav Chakrabarty, and Kanchan Mullick. The film will have action sequences and a foreign artiste will choreograph the action scenes. The film will go to the floors on November 4.   

Several films from the production house, Eskay Movies, were shot in London this summer. According to industry sources, the production house is planning to launch its OTT platform and hence they are on a content banking drive. However, there has not been any confirmation from the house that suffered huge losses after a fire incident at its warehouse.
