It has been reported that Raj Chakraborty’s next film – a collaboration with SVF – will feature Mithun Chakraborty and Ritwick Chakraborty. Along with these two actors, it also features Anashua Majumder, Subhashree Ganguly, Sohini Sengupta, and others. The project was announced, along with three other films by Srijit Mukherji, Joydeep Mukherjee, and Debaloy Bhattacharya, in early March. Raj’s film was announced with no name and was marked as Production Number 165. 

Raj started shooting with Mithun Chakraborty in mid-March. Ritwick, who plates Mithun Chakraborty’s son, joined in later. Billed as a family drama, the film had no name even after the shooting started. In fact, Subhashree was seen holding a clapstick of the films that mentioned: Production Number 165. 

However, according to sources, the film has a working title now. If sources are to be believed, the film will be called Santan. However, it has neither been announced nor confirmed by the makers.   

Earlier, Ritwick said that his character has shades of dark elements. The film delves into the bitter relationship between a father and his son, which will move to the court. Ahana Dutta will play Ritwik's wife. Ahana previously played a negative character in Anurager Chnoa. Subhasree Ganguly will play a lawyer. Anushua Majumder, Kharaj Mukherjee, Biswajit Chakraborty, and Sohini Sengupta will play other roles.

Raj has completed shooting his another film Babli that features Subhashree, Abir Chatterjee, and Saurasheni Maitra. The team travelled to North Bengal for shooting. It is based on Buddhadeb Guha’s eponymous novel. Meanwhile, Subhashree will be teaming up with Debaloy for his next horror film. Ritwick will play a key character in Srijit Mukherji’s Shotti Bole Shotti Kichhu Nei.
