Actor Abhilash Thapliyal has been receiving a lot of appreciation for his performance in both of his recent releases - Blurr and Faadu: A Love Story.

Even though the actor has a few projects that he has finished working on and is awaiting the releases of, the actor tells us that he is still going through the organic process of auditioning to bag projects, and that he is yet to sign a project.

Abhilash told OTTplay, "I have finished shooting a couple of projects that are either in post-production or ready to release. But I haven't signed anything new yet. I am doing the second season of Aspirants, and have also finished shooting for a web series that is directed by Navdeep Singh, who earlier directed films like Manorama Six Feet Under, NH10 and Laal Kaptaan."

The actor told us that he is playing an interesting character in the Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan, which is directed by Amit Sharma. The film is a sports biography on the golden era of Indian football and the journey of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film is likely to be released in 2023.

The actor has also acted in the film Dil Juunglee, TVF Aspirants and Raksha Bandhan.

Asked if his life has changed and opportunities have increased after December 9, when his film Blurr and show Faadu: A Love Story released on the same day, Abhilash replied, "Look, the only thing I believe in, or the only way I know to get work, is by auditioning. You won't believe this, but I gave an audition on December 9 - the day when both my projects released. So, initially, I was away from the phone. Eventually, when I started getting many DMs and text messages, I was like, 'Arey yaar, sach mein kuch accha hua hoga!' I have been working for quite some time now, but now I am feeling fortunate that people are recognising me. It's okay -- I am going steady and growing gradually. Hopefully, I will sign more projects soon and an announcement will also come up!"

Blurr is streaming on ZEE5, and Faadu: A Love Story is streaming on SonyLIV.
