Exclusive! Here is what Shah Rukh Khan told Subhashree at the inauguration of the Kolkata International Film Festival

Subhashree Ganguly had her fan-girl moment on Thursday when she felicitated none other than Shah Rukh Khan at the inauguration of the 28th Kolkata International Film festival at Netaji Indore Stadium. She presented a scarf and a memento to the Pathaan Star and had a brief conversation on stage. We saw her blushing and when we asked her about the conversation, here is what she had to say. 

Subhashree is the one who honoured Shah Rukh on stage and that was a perfect fan-girl moment for her. “Who is not a fan of Shah Rukh Khan? There is no one who doesn’t like Shah Rukh Khan. I am a huge fan and then I got the opportunity to felicitate him,” said an elated actress. 

But what about the conversation she had? Subhashree said, “While presenting the scarf, I told him you are looking so so hot in Pathaan. He said you are looking amazing too. He was blushing also. Then he kissed my hand. Definitely, it was a special moment for me.”

Meanwhile, Subhashree is also very proud of Raj Chakrabarty, her husband, who has been chairing the KIFF committee for years. She said, “I was feeling very proud of Raj and the entire team of KIFF. I was feeling so proud about the fact that our industry came together and put up such a lovely event. It was so well organised. So many people came to watch the event. It was beautiful.”

After certain irregularities for two years due to the pandemic, the 28th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival came back with a bang with a gorgeous inauguration with the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Sourabh Ganguly, Mahesh Bhatt, Shatrughna Sinha, Arijit Singh, Kumar Shanu, Pt Ajoy Chakrabarty and many other luminaries.
