Veteran actress Indrani Haldar is all set to debut on OTT. She will be seen as a pivotal character in Indranil Roychowdhury’s Chotolok – a Zee5 series that will also feature Gourab Chakrabarty, Ushasi Roy, Daminee Benny Basu, Ushasie Chakraborty and others. The thriller that revolves around a police investigation over a young woman’s murder will go on the floors in August.

While talking about her OTT debut, Indrani said that she has been wanting to work on OTT for a while. “Covid literally taught us to watch OTT. I have been waiting to get into the groove. I wanted to work in a Hindi show but nothing interesting came up. Meanwhile, this offer came. This is a unique character. I play the character of a politician. I have never done anything like this before. It has shades and layers. It is a grey character. But you will have to wait and watch,” she told us.

Indrani also wants to keep herself available for OTT offers. “I wish to be back with Goyenda Ginni season 2. That will happen. But television work demands complete time. At this moment, I want to keep myself available for OTTs for a while. We will see if we can start Goyenda Ginni Season 2 by the end of this year,” she said.

In the series, Gourab Chakrabarty will be seen as Indrani’s son. While Daminee will be seen as the investigating officer, Ushasie Chakraborty will be seen as a socialite. Young actress Ushasie Roy will be seen as an important character in the film. Gaboo will compose the music. The series is produced by Indranil’s Flip Book and Cherrypix.

Indrani’s Kuler Achaar will be released on July 15. The film also features Vikram Chatterjee, Madhimita Sarcar and Sujan Mukhopadhyay. The film delves into the debate over changing the surname of a married woman.
