From the time he started getting noticed by the audience for his performance in the show Jamtara, followed by Grahan and Kathmandu Connection, actor Anshumaan Pushkar established himself as one of the skilled actors who can deliver intense performances on-screen one after another quite efficiently.

Now that the second season of Kathmandu Connection has been released and he is receiving praise for his stint in the series again. In a special conversation with OTTplay, the 29 years-old actor opens up on taking appreciation, working hard constantly and what fears him the most in the current phase of his career.

Asked about if living the life of an actor is difficult, especially when one starts the career from the scratch, Anshumaan told OTTplay, " Well, there are two ways to look at the situation. I can either call it challenging or difficult. I think difficult is a negative word but challenging is real. When it is challenging, you take it sportingly. You go through it to achieve your goal. That is exactly what I am doing, I am taking my journey as a challenge and I also have my goal. I am working towards it."

Though there are many actors who say that they are detached from their achievements Anshumaan is quite clear about these matters.

"I am quite attached to things that I am doing. So I won't say that whether people like my work or not, I am unaffected by that. No, that is not how I function, I want people, especially our fraternity to notice my work, understand my potential and give me more opportunities. I like when people appreciate my performance. It is not coming from the place of any arrogance but the fact that I love audiences' responses. It boosts me to do more," shared the actor.

While his performance has always been appreciated, the actor also shared what makes him worried a bit.

"I am fearing to get stereotyped now because, in the last three shows, all my characters were intense. Now I think people are thinking of me only when there is a serious character, that demands intense performance. I want to try comedy and light-hearted roles as well. As an actor, I want to explore every genre so that I also discover myself as an artist. Hopefully, in the next project, I will get a chance to do comedy," said Anshumaan.

The show Kathmandu Connection 2 is written by Siddharth Mishra, directed by Sachin Pathak, and produced by Ajay G Rai. It also stars Gopal Datt, Amit Sial, Aksha Pardasany, Prashant Narayanan, Harleen Sethi and Anuraag Arora.

The show is streaming on Sonyliv.
