In his last three web series, actor Anshumaan Pushkar proved his skill as an actor by receiving appreciation not only from critics, but audiences as well.

As the actor is gearing up for the second season of the web series Kathmandu Connection, Anshumaan told OTTplay about his success and the people behind it.

Anshumaan told OTTPlay, "While my heart is filled with gratitude for the amount of love, appreciation and DMs I have got so far for all the shows that I have been part of, I must mention that I did not choose these projects - all of them happened to me. I was working for a long time, doing theatre extensively, and always wanted to be part of a good film. Earlier, web series weren't a big deal, but things started changing in 2018. So, eventually all these shows, be it Grahan, Jamtara or Kathmandu Connection - I was not consciously choosing those projects. I did what I was offered."

He added, "I was one of those budding actors who was doing a lot of stage plays and wishing to do something onscreen. Mujhe koi chhota role bhi mil jaata to mein karta. Mujhe baas acche characters karne the. It is the blessing from almighty that everything fell in place and all the shows did well."

While each of his characters is distinctly different, Anshuman gives the credit to every show maker, director and writer who created the memorable characters and offered him the chance to play them onscreen.

"When I was signing those shows, I was still a new actor and not everybody watched my plays. So, whether it is Soumendra sir (Padhi, director of Jamtara), Ranjan Chandel (Grahan) or Sachin Pathak (Kathmandu Connection), everyone put their faith in my talent. They created the characters and gave me the responsibility to bring to life Rocky, Rishi Ranjan and Sunny. Now, when I look back, I think that the credit goes to all the makers. I was just focusing on acting," shared the 29-year-old actor.

Directed by Sachin Pathak and produced by Ajay G Rai, Kathmandu Connection Season 2 also features Gopal Datt, Anshumaan Pushkar, Aksha Pardasany, Prashant Narayanan, Harleen Sethi and Anuraag Arora. It is releasing on December 23 on SonyLIV.
