Ace cinematographer Sirsha Ray who impressed his audience with his fascinating works in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Nagarkirtan, A Death In The Gunj, Shaddo, and other films has stepped into direction. As per sources, he started shooting his film that features Kay Kay Menon, Kaushik Ganguly, Sohini Sarkar, Indraneil Sengupta, and others.

According to sources close to the team, the director and some of the actors are shooting outdoors in Dumka, Jharkhand. “The film is a sort of anthology based on four stories by Bengali author Saradindu Bandyopadhyay. Kay Kay Menon is featured in all the stories. On the other hand, Sohini and Indraneil finished their shooting in Mumbai,” said the source. The team reached Dumka on January 30 and will shoot there till February 4.

Indraneil’s last release Hubba, which is directed by Bratya Basu, is currently running in theatres. He will soon be seen as Feluda in Sandip Ray’s upcoming Nayan Rahasya. On the other hand, Sohini’s Bonbibi will be released in February. After playing Satyabati – Byomkesh Bakshi’s wife – in a number of films, she has played the character for Srijit Mukherji’s Durgo Rawhoshyo opposite Anirban Bhattacharya. Speculations are rife that the actress will be a part of Vinci Da 2 and one more film by Srijit.
