Actress Pia Bajpiee faced a major challenge while shooting for her upcoming film LOST. The role was one of her toughest in life. A personal loss had affected her mind during the filming, she spills during an interview with OTTplay.
Pia told us, “I think it was the most challenging part of my life considering what I was going through in my personal life. Just two months before the shooting of our film stars, I lost my brother to COVID-19. It was the second wave, the delta one. And since my parents are old, I had to perform the last right of my brother, went there, saw how dead bodies are piled up and somehow, I managed to do his last rites. For a sister, doing this was heartbreaking. I cannot really express that in words.”
Even before she had the time to come out of mourning, Pia had to go back to shooting for LOST. “I had to go back to shoot the film and the character had a very different emotional journey from that I was going through in my personal life. Every time the phone rang and someone called from my home, it would trigger me. Yes, it was a tough time and I dedicate the film LOST to my brother,” she said.
Set in Kolkata, the film has elements of mystery and is based on a true story. The story revolves around a female journalist investigating the sudden disappearance of a young theatre artist and activist and as the investigation goes deeper, the darker side of the truth gets revealed.
LOST is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and also stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam and Tushar Pandey among others.
