Exclusive! Mika Di Vohti-fame Prantika Das steps into Bengali OTT space

About a year ago, young model and reality TV star Prantika Das almost got married to singer Mika. She took part in the popular reality show Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti and along with Mika’s long-term friend Akanksha Puri and acquaintance Neet Mahal, Prantika reached the final round. While she was not the winner, her appearance on the national TV channel got her a lot of fame.

After one year, Prantika is all set to work in the Bengali OTT space. According to sources, she will be seen as a primary character in Friday’s upcoming show, 1954. The shooting got over recently. The show is based on a real-life event in 50’s Kolkata when a grisly murder of Bela Rani in 1954 shook the city. Hey, body parts were found out later all over the city.

While Prantika plays the character of Bela Rani, Rudranil Ghosh plays the character of the investigating officer. Saurav Das and Pujarini Ghosh, also play key characters. The film is directed by Sayantan Mukherjee who earlier made films like Jhora Palok, etc. As per sources, the channel might announce the show soon.
