Exclusive! Mousumi Chatterjee to pair up with Mithun Chakraborty?

Mithun Chakraborty is back on the Bengali big screen and how! His performance in Suman Ghosh’s Kabuliwala, released last week, has been praised by critics and viewers alike. It has already been reported that Mithun will be seen in a film directed by Raj Chakraborty. Now it is being heard that Moushumi Chatterjee will be seen opposite Mithun.

Billed as a family drama, the film is said to be a father-son saga. Mithun will reportedly be the father. Moushumi may play the female lead opposite the veteran actor. It is yet to be known who might play the son. Raj, known to be an ace director of high-octane commercial drama has impressed his audience with his OTT directorial debut Abar Proloy. This time, he will venture into a family drama.

Meanwhile, Mithun will also be seen in a Soham Chakraborty Production, Shastri. According to reports, he will pair up with Debashree Roy in this film. Kharaj Mukhopadhyay and Rajatava Dutta will also be seen in the film. Arnab Bhowmick and Aritra Bandyopadhyay are currently working on the script. The film delves into the life of Parimal Sanyal – played by Mithun. Debashree will play the wife,m Sarala. The shooting may start in January and the film may be released in Puja 2024.

On the other hand, Raj will also direct a love story based on Buddhadeb Guha’s Babli. This will be Subhashree Ganguly’s comeback on the screen after her second child. Besides, the film will also feature Abir Chatterjee.
