Actress Nikita Dutta, who plays a pivotal part in the upcoming web series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, is thrilled to have worked with her favourite filmmaker Neeraj Pandey for the first time. The we series marks the directorial debut of Bhav Dhulia, son of National Award-winning filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Sharing her experience of working with the debutant director, Nikita told OTTplay, "Bhav might be a newcomer, as he is directing a show individually for the first time, but he has worked as an assistant in the past. So, there is a certain confidence that he carries with him. Also, he has done his research quite intensely and has worked with a wonderful team of writers. He is very sorted...he knows what he wants from a scene, an actor, or situation. So, at no point did we feel that he is a newbie on the set. Noone knows their job as well as him."

This was also the first time for Nikita to work with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, who is the creator of the show. "Working with Neeraj sir was on my bucket list. I was his fan even when I was not an actress. If you were to ask me what is the best thing about the way he works, I wouldn't be able to specifically point out one single thing is the best in any of his films — all his stories have an overall impact! That used to be my reaction as an audience member, but now I can say that also as an actor who has worked with him," shared Nikita.

The story of Khakee: The Bihar Chapter revolves around a police officer Amit Lodha, played by Karan Tacker, and a deadly criminal named Chandan, played by Avinash Tiwari.

Created by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Bhav Dhulia, the web series also stars Jatin Sarna, Ashutosh Rana, Aishwarya Sushmita, Shraddha Das, Vinay Pathak, Ashutosh Rana and Anup Soni. It is set to releaseon Netflix on November 25.
