Director Arif Khan ensured that, he left no stone 'unturned' when making the supernatural thriller 'U Turn’, a thriller film that ‘mirrored’ a strory about drivers who make an illegal U-turn but are totally clueless and unaware about the repercussions that it could have upon them for the rest of their lives. The film, which garnered the appreciation and acclaim of many was released recently on Zee 5. The film starred an ensemble cast consisting of includes Alaya F, Priyanshu Painyuli, Rajesh Sharma, Aashim Gulati, Shreedhar Dubey, Sahil Takhi, and Apoorva Suman. The film was produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapooor's Balaji Telefilms Limited.

Speaking exclsuively to OTTplay was Priyanshu Painyuli who spoke about his experience working with Alaya F and Rajesh Sharma. Priyanshu said, “I think the experience with every member of the cast was beautiful and comfortable, we had loads of fun. With Alaya of course when we met for the reading, she was such an easy person. She is so natural and comfortable that you feel like you are working with a friend from day 1. It didn’t feel like we were working for the first time and that was the best part. Every day became so easy she is such a dedicated hard-working actress. I feel when you are shooting with your co-actor and director everything is comfortable and the same happened with Rajesh Sharma, Shridhar bhai, Manu Rishi Chaddha everybody else. The whole cop unit was also fun to work with. We didn’t have to spend time with each other to get to know each other, it was very simple, just by shaking hands I got to know this was going to be a great journey and that’s what happened with the rest of the cast. U Turn is one of the smoothest journeys I have had”.

And when asked as to what made the film ‘U-Turn’ different from other supernatural horror thrillers, pat came the reply from Priyanshu Painyuli, who said, “In this film, by the time, you think that this is the way the film is headed or this is why murders are happening, it quickly takes a U Turn and puts your mind to another route. The minute you start thinking about something, it's going to confuse you, it's going to keep making you take U Turn in your head till the end. There are a lot of twist and turns and people who feel it’s a remake of a south film, let us tell you that it is inspired in terms of the baseline of the story but the second half and characters have been approached differently. It's an edge of the seat thriller”.
