By his admission, Ritwick Chakraborty has a special interest in ventriloquism. While he practices the art in his leisure time, he has started making videos with his puppet – a white tiger. Though not exactly ventriloquism, the videos have been very popular already. “I record the voice of my puppet. It is not ventriloquism. You can call them mini videos,” he said.

After its popularity, the actor finally named the white tiger. “There was no need for his name as of now. But since he is becoming popular and since he is a white tiger, let’s call him Albino,” the actor told OTTPlay with a smile. Albino has recently taken a dif at Paresh Rawal after his controversial statement over Bengali’s love for fish. The puppet punned on the actor's name with Bengal’s famous fish, parshe, and bowal.

Albino’s commentary did not end with that. After the debate over Deepika Padukone’s saffron-colour costume in Besharam Rang in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, the puppet told his ‘Borda (elder brother)’ Ritwick that it would be risky to munch a carrot in front of the camera as the colour of the humble veggie is also saffron.

In a video, Ritwick’s puppet asked him, “If you munch carrots in front of the camera, will there be objections raised? This ‘very relevant’ question is asked to Borda, aka Ritwick, by his ‘out of control’ puppet. ‘Why?’ asked Borda, Ritwick. The puppet, which is a white tiger, roars and reminds him, “Hey Borda, think about the carrot's colour. It is being used in a song and lots of controversies are incited. Completely meaningless, no?” Ritwick tried to stop his puppet but to no avail.

Talking about Albino’s ‘political affiliation’, Ritwick joked that he loves to talk about current affairs. “It may or may not be political,’ he said. But does Albino’s voice helps him state his own voice? “Partially, yes. I am recording these videos because I am enjoying them. I will continue to do so as long as I like it,” he told us.
