The actor says that he is dreaming big and waiting for a big movie project
Actor Varun Mitra, who was last seen in the web series Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, says that even though he is happy with his recent projects, he wants to see himself in a film that moves the audience.
Starting his career with modelling, the actor made his Bollywood debut with the film Jalebi in 2018. However, he went through a rough patch in his career before making his OTT debut with the ZEE5 series Bombers, followed by Amazon Prime Video's web series Guilty Minds.
Asked how he has redefined himself, Varun told OTTplay, "I think we all have to work within ourselves to get rid of our own limitations. I worked on myself to do that as an actor and performer. Also, I believe in being at the right place at the right time to grab the right opportunity. When I was not working, I was hosting travel shows, and that kept me alive. I did around 10 shows with Discovery and TLC. I still feel that a big opportunity, which I can consider a golden opportunity, is yet to come. I think Guilty Minds and Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo are baby steps towards that."
Elaborating further, the actor shared, "I want to be part of that big film for which my face will be seen on big posters; a film that everyone will talk about in every corner of the country, making audiences feel for the story and the characters. I know it's a big dream, but we all dream big."
Bahu Aur Flamingo is directed by Homi Adajania and stars Dimple Kapadia, Isha Talwar, Angira Dhar, Radhika Madan, and Deepak Dobriyal, among others. It is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
