Exclusive! Sanjana Sanghi found her ‘best friend in the world’ in Aditya Roy Kapur while shooting for Raksha Kavach OM

Raksha Kavach OM might have failed to connect with the viewers but it surely gave the lead actress Sanjana Sanghi lots of memories and best friends for life. The actress found a best friend in her male co-star Aditya Roy Kapur and director Kapil Verma.

“My biggest takeaway has been getting to walk away with the best friends in the world. Aditya and Kapil are extremely dear to me and Ahmed Sir and the whole Zee team have been constant pillars of support,” Sanjana shared.

Ahmed Khan has produced the movie, which is now heading for an OTT release. No guesses, the film will release on Zee5.

Sanjana played the role of Om (Aditya Roy Kapur)’s colleague Kavya in the film. She is extremely proud of the kicks and punches her character had in the film.

Of course, Om has the majority of action in the movie but Kavya also gets an opportunity to showcase her skills. You prompt Sanjana about her favourite action hero and after some hesitance, she reveals it is indeed Jackie Chan.

Sanjana confesses she has been a nerd and dancer all her life. Thus, action was the last thing on her mind. However, she grew fond of Jackie Chan particularly because of her father.

The studious girl, who only had a favourite author, would sit with her brother and father to watch Jackie Chan movies. “My dad being a karate black belt himself, he’d speak of Jackie Chan’s endless discipline with such awe that I grew a natural fondness and respect for Jackie Chan,” Sanjana shared.

The actress made her debut opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the 2020 film, Dil Bechara. Raksha Kavach OM was her second film after that.

The actress’ name has now been finalized for Taapsee Pannu produced Dhak Dhak. The film features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah and Dia Mirza in the lead roles too.
