Shershaah has been the talk of the town for some time now. Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who plays the role of Captain Vikram Batra in the film, has his moments of rage. Sometimes, the rage comes out in the form of cuss words.
Talking to OTTplay exclusively, the actor said that none of the words was scripted and they came out naturally. He further added that the words were not used for any kind of effect.
"They were words that came out naturally on set. None of the swear words is uncalled for or said for any kind of effect," Sidharth told us.
The actor elaborated on the emotion that led to the cuss words being blurted out. He recalled an emotional scene and the tough conditions they were already shooting (rather fighting) amidst.

"If you remember the scene under the truck with Bansi, losing a dear comrade, the rage and emotion back it up. It wasn't planned. I blurted it out within that moment and we kept it now. My take on it is that I can assure you that the words aren't used blandly in the film. We were battling in 14,000 feet above sea level and we were genuinely in the moment - firing guns, getting into the emotions. These words just came out at that moment," Sidharth shared.
He further mentioned that it could have been muted if it was releasing in theatres but since they could keep it thanks to the format of OTT, they decided to retain it.
"If it was coming in theatres, we would have muted it. We could keep it thanks to OTT and we're getting the response for that. It's not for effect or planned. It blends in nicely with the emotion of the moment," the actor signed off.
