Exclusive! Srijit Mukherji’s Feluda is back with Tota Roy Chowdhury and Anirban Chakrabarti

Feluda is back again on OTT this year. After the popularity of the first season of Srijit Mukherji’s Feludar Goyendagiri, Hoichoi renewed the second season with Bhusworgo Bhoyonkor in its Season 6 slate announcement. The second season never kicked off and in their next slate announcement, there was no mention of the show. Instead, the director got busy with another sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi in Durgo Rawhoshyo.

However, as per sources close to Hoichoi, now Srijit is all set to shoot Bhusworgo Bhoyonkor with Tota Roy Chowdhury as Feluda, Anirban Chakrabarti as Jatayu and Kalpan Mkitra as Topshey. If all goes well, the shooting will take place in the first half of the year in Kashmir. 

Srijit’s tryst with this iconic detective started with Addatimes years ago. He directed two series – Chhinnamastar Abhishap and Joto Kando Kathmandute. While the first one got dropped, the second one is yet to be released. Meanwhile, Srijit collaborated with Hoichoi, and the first season of Feludar Goyendagiri deals with Darjeeling Jawmjawmat. Now his destination is Kashmir where Feluda will solve a new mystery.

Feluda’s on-screen appearance is nothing short of a special sentiment for the Bengali audience. Besides Srijit, Parambrata Chatterjee and Arindam Sil directed the Feluda series. Arindam Sil’s Shabash Feluda which features Parambrata Chatterjee as the sleuth was dropped this year.
