Subhashree Ganguly stepped into the world of OTT with Debaloy Bhattacharya’s Indubala Bhaater Hotel. Based on Kallol Lahiri’s novel, the series delves into the pain of the Partition. Along with the series, Subhashree’s performance was lauded by viewers and critics alike.
After the success of Indubala Bhaater Hotel, Debaloy and Subhashree are tying up once again for a brand new project. According to sources, this will be for the big screen. The sources further confirmed that it will be a ‘classic’ horror film. The shoot is scheduled to start in April in Kolkata. Besides Subhashree, Chitrangada Shatarupa may also play a key character in the film, which will begin with a working title, Aleya Bari.
The first few episodes of Indubala Bhaater Hotel were dropped on March 8 last year. The show received acclaim from all quarters. It was acknowledged as one of the top 10 shows on OTTplay’s Top 10 Bengali web series of 2023 and here’s where to watch them . The show also features Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Parijat Chowdhury, Sneha Chatterjee, Angana Roy Rahul Banerjee, and others.

Debaloy’s last release Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole which features Abir Chatterjee, Paran Bandyopadhyay, and others garnered critical acclaim. However, the film failed to impress the box office. Meanwhile, Subhashree is back after the delivery of her second child. She shot with Raj Chakraborty in Babli. Based on Buddhadeb Guha’s novel, the film also features Abir and Sauraseni Maitra. The shooting took place in North Bengal. Meanwhile, according to reports, Raj is gearing up for his new film with Mithun Chakraborty. The veteran actor is now shooting for Pathikrit Basu’s Shastri with Debashree Roy.
