Exclusive! Sudiptaa Banerjee, Rohaan Bhattacharjee pair up for the first time for an adventure drama

Bhojo Gobindo-fame Rohaan Bhattacharjee and model-actress Sudiptaa Banerjee will be seen together in Souradip Banerjee’s adventure drama Swargodwar. The shooting of the film has started and the team will soon be travelling to Tripura for outdoor shoots. If all goes well, the production team of JPR Entertainment is hopeful to release it by this year. Nachiketa and Surojit Chatterjee will do the playback for two songs.

Rohaan, who is anchoring the dance reality show Dance Dance Junior, has been focussing on big projects. “I have worked on a Hoichoi web series and am currently shooting for another film. I really liked the script. I am sure nothing of this sort has happened in Bengal. It is an adventure drama and when I read the script, I thought it's worth taking this up,” said the actor.

Years before Rohaan Bhattacharjee became a household name by doing Bhojo Gobindo on TV, the actor started his career in films. However, those films could not impress at the box office and the actor chose TV which gave him his desired fame.

Meanwhile, Sudiptaa is currently working on Sona Roder Gaan. “I worked with Souradipda many years ago and we are back together. It is going to be a nice film. My character is Deepika. She is straightforward. Along with her friend Arghya, played by Rohaan, she gets into an adventure. I am looking forward to the project,” she said.

Meanwhile, the director said that he will not be revealing much of the story. “It has adventure, friendship and greed. And it has to be enjoyed in cinema halls because it has a lot of VFX work,” Souradip told us.
