Exclusive! Swastika Dutta joins Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty in PB Chaki’s next

After Raktabeej, Mimi Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee are set to make a comeback in a film by Premendu Bikash Chaki. Billed as a romcom, the film also features Swastika Dutta as one of the lead characters. This is Swastika’s second film after Fatafati with Abir. The shooting of this yet-untitled film is expected to start this month. The film is produced by Surinder Films.

Earlier, Premendu Bikash Chaki’s collaboration with Surinder Films Love Marriage was a box office success. The film features Ankush, Oindrila Sen, Sohag Sen, Ranjit Mullick, and Aparajita Adhya.

While working in Raktabeej, Abir and Mimi reflected a friendly chemistry. They said that they long wished to pair up. They first met during the audition of Mimi’s first serial Ganer Opare. Thus, they had a long friendship. That equation was reflected in Raktabeej and their acting was acclaimed.

Now Mimi’s OTT debut Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo was dropped on Hoichoi on January 5. In this courtroom drama, the actress plays the character of a lawyer who stands for justice. The show is based on a real-life incident that shook the city. 

Meanwhile, Abir is busy with the promotion of the film Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole. Here the actor plays the iconic detective Deepak Chatterjee from Swapan Kumar’s famous pulp fiction. Meanwhile, he is all set to pair up with Subhashree in Raj Chakrabarty’s upcoming feature film based on Buddhadeb Guha’s Babli. -
