Actor Mayur More, best known for playing pivotal roles in shows like Kota Factory, Prank Call, Girlfriend Chor, and Basement Company, is receiving a lot of love for his performance in the mini-series Jab We Matched. He says that no matter how hard he tries, he can't be consistent with his social media accounts, which is uncommon for actors of his generation.
Mayur told OTTplay, "It is not a good thing, but it is true that I am not very active on social media. I do not post trailers and promotional materials on Instagram and other platforms. I should be more visible on social media because all my work is released on OTT platforms. I know that I am lagging behind in that department, and I want to change that about myself."
When asked if he has an interest in watching himself on a 70mm screen, the actor replied, "While as an actor, I do not differentiate between a small screen and a big one, I would say that as a viewer, the magic of watching a film with a group of people, laughing, crying, and dancing along, is magical. As a child, I remember watching Aamir Khan's "Lagaan" in the theatre and how everyone was cheering!Such experiences are irreplaceable. That way, of course, as an actor, I also want to see myself on the big screen."
Mayur's film aspirations seem to have been fulfilled, since he recently finished shooting a Marathi film, which he hopes will be released soon.
Jab We Matched is a four-episode series, with four stories of love, dating, and more. There are different titles for each episode: 'Algorithm', 'Jalkukde', 'Sirf Ek Date', and 'Formula Sheet'. Directed by Srinivas Sunderrajan, the show also features Abhishek Nigam, Priyank Sharma, Prit Kamani, Shivangi Joshi, Jasmin Bhasin, and Revathi Pillai, among others. It is currently streaming on Amazon miniTV.
